An Homage in Motion
Blessed to grow up with original and bootleg vinyls (poring over cover notes while the needle drops), the Tumbling Dice dig the same American Blues, Country, RnB, Soul, Reggae, Funk, Disco, Punk, and Rock’n’Roll the Rolling Stones bend to their own designs.
Rock on, STONES!
🤘 -
+ Special Guest Artists
With a parallel musical vocabulary, the Dice combine varied talents to deliver inspired showmanship. It's been a joy for them to see the Stones on stage, absorb their wry wit, and pay particular tribute to their 1969-74, Mick Taylor era, live shows and then some...
Roll on, DICE!
🎲🎲 -
Marcus Moreno
Lead Vocal, Rockstar Spirit Guide
A bandleader for 18 of 38 years writing and playing guitar rock, their "Brenda” delights in Jagger’s cajoling jive, echoing the brutal honesty of American, working-class song and dance. Naturally, he bellows and swaggers with the same facetious bravado as his muse.
🐓 -
Dante Rojas
Bass, Human Sequencer
Reared on his dad's Rock LPs, their Oak-town “Quiet One” picked up guitar by age 14, honing his bass craft since 2003 with local Punk bands Overdrive AD, the Scrawnies, and the Rinds. He holds forth with the “Y-Man’s” famously beat-forward, rolling thunder.
🌩️ -
Josh "Sinclair" Jones
Drums & Percussion
A '60s/'70s RnB, Rock, Soul, and Psychedelia guru for 30+ years since battering the skins at school, their “Charlie” slams with Dante in Marcus' band, the Rinds, whenever he isn't slinging for the Dice, mining Watts’ “hard diamond beat” and subtly punchy swing.
💎 -
Aaron Schiller
Rhythm & Lead Guitars
Raised in a musical family, their “Keef” has mastered bass and guitar for 32 years, yet coaxing magic from an open-G tuned, 5-string Telecaster instigates his regard for Richards' Rhythm Rock since 2014. He conveys Keith's yearning solos and innate sense of the groove.
🎸 -
Christian Thompson
Lead & Rhythm Guitars
Having backed many major, charting artists worldwide for 40+ years since graduating from Berklee College of Music, their “Little Mick” finds the Stones to be integral to most rock guitar, as he fondly exhibits with his own sweet pass at Taylor's and Woody’s guitar sorceries.
🎸 -
Ranzo Taylor
Keyboard & Backing Vocal
Classically trained for 7 years before bitten by Boogie Woogie records, their “6th Stone” belts out vocal backups while eliciting soulful organ strains or hammering the “stoney” keys with nods to Stu, “Edward” Nicky Hopkins, Billy Preston, Ian McLagan, and Chuck Leavell.
🎹 -
"Saint" Christy Mulhèrin
Sax, Under Assist. West Coast Promo
Son of a working class hero who gave him a horn when Sticky Fingers was released, their “Bobby” grooved to Stones discs thru Some Girls before exiting high school. He impels the urgent beat with hotspur rhythm and hallmark wails, while reinforcing fervent harmonies.
🎷 -
Dré "Son7" King
Co-Vocal, Harmony, Peace & Love
Their “Fischer/Fowler” chanteur shepherds a transformation of your soul whenever he dons his high-tone threads to trade or blend vocals with Marcus and Ranzo, channeling Lisa and Bernard with his signature finesse and singularly outrageous, sartorial panache.
🌹 -
Yon Lerner
Sound Man Extraordinaire
Once awed by Mick Jagger’s captivation of 100k at Coachella (with the band grooving from behind like second nature without a care), their “Wizard” at the board dials in the sonic bliss with a persistent knack for keeping each song well balanced and scintillating.
🎚🎛️🎚 -
Sean "Fingers" LaVelle
Co-Founding Guitarist
Their sometime “Elmo Lewis” invariably reveals his command of ‘60s/’70s British reinventors of RnB like the Faces, Stones, and friends. His deft finger-picking rhythm licks, tasty leads, and soaring bottleneck slide work revive one of our richest guitar playing genres.
🎸 -
Ben "Two-Tone" Reid
Veteran Guest Conguero
🪘 -
"Foxy" Oz Padilla
Reliable Lead Guitar Stand-In
🎸 -
Maddie "Hatter" Harbarth
Guest Soprano “Rock Candy” Siren
