+ Special Guest Artists
Blessed to discover them from original and bootleg vinyl (poring over sleeve notes as the needle dropped), the Tumbling Dice dig the same American Blues, Country, RnB, Reggae, Soul, Funk, Disco, Punk, and Rock’n’Roll the Rolling Stones bend to their own designs.
Rock on, STONES!
🤘 -
An Homage in Motion
Happily, the Dice exploit a broadly similar musical vocabulary, combining their talents to deliver inspired showmanship. It's been a joy for them to see the Stones on stage, absorb their wry perspective, and pay special tribute to their 1970s, Mick Taylor era, live shows.
Roll on, DICE!
🎲🎲 -
Marcus Moreno
Lead Vocal, Rockstar, Spirit Guide
Our "Brenda” has led bands for 18 of 38 years, writing and playing guitar rock. Delighting in Jagger’s cajoling jive (echoing the brutal honesty of American, working-class song and dance), he bellows and swaggers with the same bravado and mischief as his muse.
🐓 -
Dante Rojas
Bass, Human Sequencer
An Oakland native raised on Dad's Rock LPs, our “Quiet One” picked up guitar by age 14 and has honed his bass craft with local Punk bands (Overdrive AD, the Scrawnies, and the Rinds) since 2003. He holds forth with the “Y-Man’s” famously beat-forward, rolling thunder.
🌩️ -
Josh "Sinclair" Jones
Drums & Percussion
Our “Charlie” has been a '60s/'70s RnB, Rock, Soul, and Psychedelia guru for over 30 years since battering skins at school. He slams with Dante in Marcus' band, the Rinds, whenever he isn't slinging for the Dice, mining Watts’ “hard diamond beat” and subtly punchy swing.
💎 -
Aaron Schiller
Rhythm & Lead Guitars
Raised in a musical family, our “Keef” has mastered bass and guitar for 32 years. Since 2014, coaxing magic from an open-G-tuned, 5-string Telecaster has instigated his love for Richards' Rhythm Rock. He artfully conveys Keith's solos and unerring sense of the groove.
🎸 -
Ranzo Taylor
Keyboards & Backing Vocal
Classically trained for 7 years before bitten by Boogie Woogie records, our “6th Stone” belts out backups while eliciting soulful organ strains or hammering the “stoney” keys like backing Stones keyboardists “Stu,” “Edward,” Preston, McLagan, and Leavell.
🎹 -
Christy Mulhèrin
Sax, Under Assistant West Coast Promo
The son of a working class hero who (the year of Imagine and Sticky Fingers) bought his 1st sax, our “Bobby” was already grooving to King Curtis and Eddie Harris. While reinforcing fervent harmonies, he impels the surging beat with hallmark wails and hotspur rhythms.
🎷 -
Dré "Son7" King
Co-Vocal, Harmony, Peace & Love
Our “Fischer/Fowler” chanteur shepherds a transformation of your soul whenever he dons high-tone threads to trade or blend with Marcus and Ranzo, channeling Lisa and Bernard with his own signature finesse and singularly outrageous, sartorial panache.
🌹 -
Christian Thompson
Lead & Rhythm Guitars
Our “Little Mick” has backed many major, charting artists worldwide for 40+ years since graduating from Berklee College of Music. For him, the Stones are foundational to most rock guitar, as he exhibits with his own sweet pass at Woody’s and Taylor's guitar sorcery.
🎸 -
Yon Lerner
Sound Man Extraordinaire
Once awed by Mick Jagger captivating 100k at Coachella (with the band simply grooving behind him like second nature without a care), our “Wizard” at the board dials in the sonic bliss with his persistent knack for keeping each song well balanced and scintillating.
